One Piece Chapter 787
Four Minutes Away
This chapter of One Piece starts off with the cover page of Zorro and the bears playing the Taiko drums while using armament haki on both hands.
Right of the bat we see Burgess sprawled to the ground after being kicked by Sabo the previous chapter spoiling his attempt at stabbing Luffy. Sabo introduces himself to Burgess as another brother to Luffy forming their trio of brothers. Sabo then tells Burgess that despite the fact that the Blackbeard Pirates being somewhat responsible for Ace's death he doesn't really have an axe against them but that from here on out he will always have Luffy's back. Burgess then proceeds to tell Sabo that he does not care about the Revolutionary Army and doesn't care about his sob story as well. Then Sabo lights his finger showing that he was the one that actually ate the Mera-mera no Mi and tells Luffy that he will not let anyone else have it as its last remaining memento from Ace. This irks Burgess as he realize that his been dupe to the fact that it was Sabo all along stole the fruit from his grasp then attacks Sabo with "galleon lariat" which slices Sabo and the building nearby in half. But with power of the Mera-mera no Mi in Sabo it doesn't affect and prepares for a counter-attack combining his flames with his dragon fist called "Blaze Dragon King" which sets Burgess to flames and throws him at some distance.
Sabo then tells Luffy that he'll be keeping Burgess busy for while for him to regain his haki. Meanwhile, the towns people converge at the center with one group running away from the "Birdcage" and the other from the town center which has become a horrible battlefield with DoFlamingo slaughtering the gladiators.
The scene then shifts to Zorro, Kinemon and Kanjuro where Zorro activates armament haki and tries to stop the birdcage. Kinemon then tells Zorro that its insane to try and stop it just by pushing. Zorro then tells Kinemon that at the end of the day this is just a "thing" created by one man and thinking that it can't be stopped is whats really insane. At the same time on another part of the country Franky instructs the Tonttatas to push the Factory against the birdcage to stop it as its made of "seastone" and can't be cut. Meanhile at the Plateau near the town center a group of Don Quixote family goons harasses the townspeople saying they shouldn't go there and starts shooting then suddenly he's knocked down along with his comrades as the Colosseum contestants arrive at the scene.
At this time DoFlamingo becomes frustrated he couldn't find Luffy decides to speed up the closing-in of the birdcage to flush Luffy in the open. The townspeople become more desparate calling King Riku for help. With only 3 minutes before the death trap that is the "birdcage" from happening and with 4 minutes still remaining before Luffy recovers his haki, will Zorro, Franky and the tonttatas along with the Colosseum contestants buy enough time for Luffy to stop this carnage that Doflamingo is about to unleash?
